Like Caesar, Trump’s enemies continue vilifying him, seeking any means available to them no matter how devious, dark, dishonorable, or disrespectful to his voters to drive him from office

WINTER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,342 AT THE AICP-END

316 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

HANUKKAH 2019 DAY FOUR

CHRISTMAS DAY!  PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TO HUMANITY!

There are similarities between Caesar and Trump but in positive ways and the resistance they faced/face trying to enact them…
Oildale, CA 93308, 12-25-2019 Wednesday:  Merry Christmas, my Gentile friends, happy Hanukkah, my Jewish friends.  Tomorrow, Kwanzaa begins so we welcome all who celebrate that illustrious holiday, too.  We love everyone and we want everyone to love us and as we move to our eleventh year of existence, things can only continue getting better.
Yesterday, we delved into the comparisons between Julius Caesar and his life and times and that of President Donald J. Trump and the life in times in which he- and the rest of us- find ourselves.  Caesar never sought to become a ‘dictator’ just as President Trump never sought to be impeached by his political enemies, people who mock, hate, and want to see him destroyed, all because he broke with the establishment and beat an establishment candidate and because his enemies cannot sever the bond he has with his voters.
When Caesar marched on Rome in 49 B.C.E., he did so because his enemies drove him to do it and once he did, they packed up and fled, screeching that ‘CAESAR WANTED TO BE KING!’
That was never his intentions and once he arrived in Rome, went to the Senate and declared his candidacy to stand for senior counsel a second time, the enemies who remained did everything in their power to stop him which led him to doing the only thing he could do and that was to become a dictator in all but name.
What Caesar sought to do was to bring order from out of chaos.  What he offered his political enemies- those waging civil war against him- was amnesty after amnesty and a place in the new Rome- something they actively did not want out of their hatred and spite for the man.
His enemies scrawled images of the reluctant dictator on the walls wearing red boots and circulated rumors depicting the same.  The forebears of the Romans, the Etruscans who occupied the Italian landmass, had kings who wore red boots and so Caesar’s enemies vilified him by depicting him as same.
Caesar pursued his enemies, beating each of them in stride.  Every step of the way- through Greece, Asia Minor, to Egypt, and to the western end of Africa and back to Spain- saw Caesar issue amnesty after amnesty if only those opposing him would accede to his power and recognize him as the greatest Roman ever.
Pompey was beheaded by the Egyptians thinking they could curry favor with Caesar.  They were wrong and there he found himself involved in an Egyptian civil war that saw him produce a son with the Pharaoh Cleopatra- Caesarion.  He chased others of his enemies such as Cato the Younger to West Africa only to have him commit suicide so as to avoid being forced- in his view- to bow to Caesar.
Caesar brought peace to Rome, the civil war ended with the defeat of Pompey’s remaining family in Spain and still, Caesar’s enemies abhorred him, loathed him, and spread all manner of lies about him to keep the flames burning among those opposed to him.
Now here is something interesting so take note: Caesar sought to pass numerous reforms and was successful in accomplishing many.  He sought to elevate Italian families and personages to that of the old patrician Roman names.  Italians had always inhabited the Italian Peninsula but had been allies, underlings, and even vassals of the Romans.  Occasionally, this would lead to bloody and violent civil wars that never ended well for the upstarts.
The old Roman families were appalled.  Many saw this as the usurpation of their power.  Sound familiar?  Look at the ‘resistance’ movement against President Donald J. Trump.  As Sean Hannity, syndicated talk show host says, Trump’s election was about the ‘forgotten men and women.’  That is extremely true now just as it was more than two-thousand years ago.
Millions of Americans saw the departure of their jobs, loss of wages, a declining standard of living as distressing, because those elected by them- both Democrats and Republicans- cared little to nothing about them, their families, or their needs.  They cared for their own power, did not care if their voters struggled or were oppressed by excessive rules and regulations, oppressive taxes, lack of employment opportunities and careers; this is what drove Donald Trump to the historic victory he earned in 2016.
Like Caesar, Trump’s enemies vilify him.  They latch onto one avenue of attack and when it fails to generate the hoped-for response, they focus group test another avenue of attack.  When that one fails, they continue looking for yet another poisoned dagger and so we find ourselves with the current babble of “NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW” and ‘THE PRESIDENT IS NOT A KING.”
Yet, Nancy Pelosi, one of Trump’s greatest adversaries won’t walk the articles of impeachment over to the Senate, so shoddy are they.  Speaker Pelosi and her minions, all bobbing up and down behind her, gibbering and babbling and sniveling and wringing their hands over ‘how horrible Trump is,’ lack the balls and conviction in their ways to go after Trump.  They know it’s all crap.
President Trump is going to win in a landslide next year that make what happened in 2016 look like a romp in the park.  Caesar thought he was in the clear with his major enemies dead and in the ground but the remnants of his enemies conspired and assassinated him on March 15, 44 B.C.E. More than forty of these scumbags plunged daggers into him on the steps of the Senate and then immediately thought the people would flock to their banner; only, they didn’t.
We will continue with more of our comparisons of Caesar and Trump but tomorrow, we will look at the third round of semi-finals for the Second Annual Lavrentiy Beria Award.  I look forward to seeing you all here bright and early tomorrow morning.
Have a wonderful Christmas and Hanukkah.  Love you all and God bless.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

The Zombies released their next studio album, “Live in the UK,” on May 12, 2013.  The lineup featured vocalist/percussionist/guitarist Colin BlunstoneTom Toomey (guitars/vocals), Rod Argent (keyboards, backing and lead vocals), Jim Rodford (bass/backing vocals), and Steve Rodford (drums).  This effort is unbelievable as the old-timers rock out harder than they ever did back in the group’s heyday.  As always, the music is alluring, exhilarating, and bewitching so what more do you need?  We encourage everyone to use the link we provide you here so you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you as you will, indeed, enjoy it.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted at the Wednesday, April 03, 2013 Blog Post:

Today’s album is Frank Zappa’s fiftieth solo album, “Joe’s Domage,” which came out on October 01, 2004 and once again was another gem plucked from the artist’s past by his loving family.  Over the course of his lifetime and after it, too, Mr. Zappa had a large volume of unreleased recordings from the early days as well as live recordings with and without the Mothers and a whole lot more.  You can take the convenient link posted above, go to Amazon.com, and buy it now—you’ll be glad you did. Thank you for your patronage.

Posted @ the Wednesday, October 15, 2014 Blog Post B:

The British band, Queen, returned to the road and united with former FreeBad Companythe Firm, and the Law- as well as solo vocalist- Paul Rodgers and delivered a stunning DVD entitled, “Super Live in Japan” on April 28, 2006.  Although one might find the grouping of Brian May and Roger Taylor with the voice of Rodgers, it works and does so extremely well.  The band performs a variety of songs not only from Queen but from Bad Company and the solo catalogs.  Joining the band are Danny Miranda (bass), Spike Edney (keyboards, backing vocals), Jaime Moses (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), and some backup vocalists.  This is a must-own effort, one we encourage everyone to seek out at whatever site they visit for the best in rock music and get it there; you will be glad you did.

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR PATRONS AND BENEFACTORS FOR KEEPING OUR BLOGS UP-AND-RUNNING.  WE APPRECIATE WHAT THEY DO AS SHOULD YOU.  WE ALSO THANK GOOGLE FOR BEING THE GREAT ORGANIZATION THEY ARE…AND FRIENDS AND FANS, CONTINUE HELPING US OUT BY BUYING MORE AND MORE OF THE FABULOUS PRODUCTS WE CONTINUE ADVERTISING…WE THANK YOU AGAIN!
